At level 45, gear progression is about opening the next item-level gate without burning expensive materials on a piece you will immediately replace. Upgrade in layers: usable base piece first, enhancement next, expensive sockets and rerolls last.

Low-waste upgrade order
- Replace obviously weak slots with Conquest or other current endgame drops before chasing perfect rolls.
- Prioritize the weapon and the pieces that give the most useful item-level or build gain for your next content gate.
- Use Enhancement to raise stable pieces, but remember that Kina spent on disposable gear is still a cost even when some materials can be recovered.
- Use Soul Binding on pieces that are worth carrying forward; avoid expensive perfection rerolls while the slot is still likely to be replaced.
- Treat Manastones, Theostones, Potential and other non-transfer-friendly investments as later commitments, not automatic upgrades on every drop.
Before you replace an upgraded item
- Check Transfer before extracting or discarding an upgraded Unique item.
- Current Global client-derived references show Enhancement progress and the transferable Soul Binding lines can move forward through Transfer.
- Manastones, Theostones, Potential and the extra Soul Fuse line are not the kind of investment you should assume will survive a Transfer.
- Always read the in-game transfer preview before confirming; transfer and extraction are destructive actions.
