AION 2 Draupnir Guide

Draupnir's final fight is a coordination check: reach Bakarma through repeated waves, then break the stagger gauge before the cast finishes. The same idea returns twice, with whirlpools making the second check harder.

Boss mechanics

• Keep Bakarma facing away from the party; the frontal breath follows the highest-threat target.
• At the first major threshold he moves away, returns to centre and sends repeated water waves outward. Jump each wave slightly early while closing the distance.
• Once inside the safe inner area, dump your saved stagger skills into the open gauge. Missing the stagger timer wipes the group.
• The second scripted check repeats later but adds whirlpools. Avoid being pulled out of position before the stagger window.
• Save the highest-stagger Stigma or skill for these checks instead of using it casually during normal damage.

Role notes

• Tank: face the breath away and get back to the centre quickly when Bakarma resets for the wave phase.
• Melee DPS: your uptime is good between phases, but do not arrive at the stagger check with your key stagger skill on cooldown.
• Ranged DPS: stop casting early enough to sprint/jump inward; getting caught far away is more costly than one lost cast.
• Healer: cross the waves with the group and contribute stagger after reaching safety; healing from outside the inner area will not fix a missed wipe check.

Why groups wipe

• Players jump the waves late and get slowed, making the next wave nearly impossible to clear.
• The party reaches the centre but lacks stagger because key skills were spent earlier.
• Whirlpools pull players away during the second check.
• At Phantasmal Lakshmi, players keep attacking through her reflect or ignore the healing Handmaiden after 50%.

Mid-boss reminders

• Predator Saraswati leaves blue poison pools and can turn players into a bug with a frontal cone; move out instead of tanking it.
• Phantasmal Lakshmi gains a reflect window: stop attacking until it ends. When her Handmaiden appears, kill the healer add first.
