AION 2 Ferocious Horn Den Guide
AION 2 Global Ferocious Horn Den guide for Nuakum: Hunt blockers, stack/spread circles, Blue Light orb, bleed pools and Item Level 2,100 Conquest.
Updated 6 Oct 2026 · KSTFerocious Horn Den is the most coordination-heavy of the six Season 1 Expeditions. Nuakum tests whether the party can rotate blockers, read stack-versus-spread circles and deliberately aim his own attacks into an objective orb.

Boss mechanics
- Keep Nuakum facing away. His unmarked frontal claw sequence covers a wide arc; behind him is the safe default position.
- Bleed stacks can rupture into a damaging pool. Move the pool to the arena edge so later mechanics still have clean space.
- During the Hunt, one player is rooted and a clone charges them. A different unmarked player steps into the clone's path to block the dash.
- After the block, read the circle under the rooted target: the small circle with inward arrows is a group stack; the large plain circle is taken alone.
- At the Blue Light phase, an orb appears in the centre. The marked player stands on the far side so Nuakum's thrown attacks pass through the orb; three successful hits break it before the wipe cast finishes.
- Late red-ball throws require two different players to intercept one ball each. The same blocker should not take both.
Role notes
- Tank: keep the front away and carry bleed pools toward the edge instead of dropping them in the party's working space.
- Melee DPS: be ready to become the Hunt blocker when another player is rooted; do not all hide behind the boss during the mechanic.
- Ranged DPS: if marked during Blue Light, line up Nuakum → orb → yourself and hold the line long enough for the throw to hit the orb.
- Healer: keep the rooted Hunt target alive, and prepare for damage after shared circles without moving into a spread circle that should be taken solo.
Why groups wipe
- The same player blocks consecutive Hunt clones while still carrying the mark.
- The group confuses the small stack circle with the large solo circle.
- The Blue Light marked player stands beside the orb instead of directly behind it from Nuakum's perspective.
- Bleed pools accumulate in the middle and remove the safe positioning space needed for later mechanics.
- One player intercepts both late red balls and dies to the mark interaction.
Route reminders
- Watchdog Kwapo comes before the totem room; the route uses bombs to break the barricade.
- In the totem room, deal with add waves and use the side bombs instead of trying to brute-force the invulnerable totem.
- Necromancer Duanka's soul phase gives one player the altar orb needed to damage the summoned souls; clear them before the countdown.
