The practical buying decision
If your only goal is to start on September 30, the official contents make Standard the functional baseline. Deluxe and Ultimate add mostly cosmetic/collection value on top. All three tiers use the same five-day Advance Access window.
What the included Membership actually unlocks
NC’s August 20 Founder update says the 30-day Special Quai Membership includes Remote Storage, Personal Trading, Wind Breeze Merchants, a higher Odyle Energy maximum, Market access, the Quna Exchange Shop, and extra Odyle Energy Cube selections in Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary.
Steam or PURPLE before you buy
Use the storefront/launcher you actually plan to play through and do not assume a Founder entitlement transfers between Steam and PURPLE unless NC explicitly documents that path for your account. The official pre-release material does not currently provide a general cross-store transfer promise.
