Unlisted Aniimo: the 15 creatures hidden in the client finally have names
The 1.0 client texts finally put names on the 15 creatures from our unlisted Aniimo page. Ten of them make up five families tied to the Whisperwake Isles, a zone that isn't open yet: Reefish, Malangel, Cheekie, Bubbeep, Popapus and their evolutions. The other five aren't really new: Irisalis and Somniwing are the Legendary Aniimo of the main story, Soleon and Fennelun are the forms Helion and Lunara take in battle, and Morphling is the disguised Aniimo of the "Morphling's Memory" challenges. None of this has been presented officially.

How these names were found
Our unlisted Aniimo page shows 15 creatures whose render, sounds and videos ship in the client, with no entry in the official index. Each one has an internal ID (10381, 10421…).
The categorized client texts link those IDs to names through three independent paths: the Aniimo prototype table, the family table, and the names of Aniimo placed in the world, such as “Alpha Reefish”. All three agree, and the developers’ Chinese working names match the renders: “coral shell fish”, “gachapon octopus”, “blazing sun lion”…

They all live on the Whisperwake Isles, a complete zone in the client that isn’t open yet. The game teases a new region for 29 October without naming it: we go through the clues, the zone and its arrival event in our article on the Whisperwake Isles.
These families have no entry in the playable Aniimo table yet: no final stats, no skills, no evolution conditions. For Cheekie and Wavwal, the client doesn’t even specify the elements.

A few details:
- Irisalis belongs to the Iris and Irisal family. The Legendary Journey: Departure with the Wind event, open since launch, revolves around it: you gather Irisalis Petals to craft a Legendary Aniipod.
- Soleon and Fennelun aren’t permanent evolutions in the files. According to the two innate skills and their effect, the Aniimo evolves for the duration of the fight, and the effect ends shortly after leaving combat.
- Morphling also has disguised variants in the files: Bulbly, Susuta, Fentuft and Pomegg “Morphling”.
What about other names?
Three families exist in the texts with no render and no Aniimo placed in the world: Saws, Prawnch and Vaspaon. A Water-type Jabster form already has a profile. The files also hold old prototype names that look like cut or test content: we’re leaving those out.
What this changes for you
- Met a Soleon or a Fennelun in battle? It’s not a bug or a secret creature: it’s your Helion’s or Lunara’s innate skill.
- Interested in Irisalis? Follow the Legendary Journey event in game: that’s where Irisalis Petals come from.
- The ten sea creatures can’t be caught today. If the 29 October new region really is the Whisperwake Isles, they’ll arrive with it.
- The unlisted Aniimo page keeps its renders, sounds and videos: these names complement it, and they aren’t official.
Frequently asked questions
Can these Aniimo be caught?
Not the ten from the Whisperwake Isles: the zone isn't open and these families don't have a playable entry in the client yet. For Irisalis, Somniwing and Morphling, the files show they are present in the game, but we haven't verified in game how to obtain them yet.
Is Soleon an evolution of Helion?
It's the form Helion takes when it uses its innate skill Helios' Judgment: according to the files, the effect lasts until shortly after leaving combat. The files contain no permanent evolution condition from Helion to Soleon. The same goes for Lunara and Fennelun with Selene's Judgment.
Why aren't these names on the unlisted Aniimo page?
That page was built from the client's renders, sounds and videos, which contain no names. The categorized client texts extracted on 17 September now make it possible to link them.
