Whisperwake Isles: what Aniimo's game files reveal about the upcoming sea region
The season overview teases "a brand-new region" for 29 October 2026 in game, alongside Part II of Season 1. It isn't named, but the 1.0 client already contains a whole zone that isn't open yet: the Whisperwake Isles. It has tides that change exploration, five Aniimo families that don't exist in the game yet, an Omega Aniimo, a Branch and an arrival event. Nothing is confirmed: this is a find in the files, not an announcement.

A new region teased for 29 October
Two in-game texts set the scene:
- The season overview has a “New Region” slot with this message: “A brand-new region opens on Oct. 29, 2026! Stay tuned!”
- Season 1 Part II starts after the 29 October maintenance. Its tagline: “Ride the wind and cut through the waves! An azure adventure awaits!”
The region isn’t named. The card art shows a beach and a coral Aniimo buried in the sand, very close to the render of Reefish, one of the Whisperwake Isles’ residents.
The Whisperwake Isles, a zone already built
In the client, the Whisperwake Isles are a separate zone (zone 3003), apart from the Breezy Plains map. It already has its map image, placed Aniimo, chests and points of interest. In one dialogue, the Institute “only just discovered” the isles, and another character congratulates the player on being the first to find them.

The zone’s map markers include:
- 41 chests and 7 Lumin Amber;
- 2 fast-travel Blooms: Shimmering Shore and White Sandbank;
- 2 Lumin Markings: Above the White Cliffs and Lake-Center Bubble;
- an Omega Aniimo, Glameep, keeping watch by a mirror-like lake;
- “Help the Aniimo” quests and Aniimo gathering spots.
Tides that shape exploration
A help text sums it up: the tide goes out at night and comes in during the day, and these tides have shaped a unique ecology. The files give examples: a Popapus cave you can’t enter at high tide, a first Popapus catch that asks you to switch to nighttime, and Malangel said to appear only at night, to dance.
A Branch and items of its own
- The Whisperwake Isles Branch has its own bonuses: more stamina, a catch bonus, Nurture that triggers a Wild Surge, weather that can change and attract Prismana Aniimo, and eventually stamina-free movement outside combat.
- Lumin Amber - Whisperwake Isles and Whisperwake Isles Dewdrop Crystal, to grow the Branch and raise the Resonance of the region’s Aniimo.
- Prismana Orb: an item that lets an Aniimo native to the isles, with its Prismana Form unlocked, switch to that variant.
- Mark of the Strong: Whisperwake Isles, tied to Alpha reports, a Whisperwake Coral avatar frame, and Homeland furniture inspired by Cheekie and Popapus.
Five new Aniimo families

These ten creatures are the ones on our unlisted Aniimo page. The game texts give them names:
| Lumin stage | Nova stage | Elements in the files | What the texts say |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reefish (Coracroc) | Coraliz (Coraleurre) | Rock, Water | Hides in the sand disguised as coral. One egg guarantees a “Rainstorm Form” Coraliz with Perfect potential. |
| Malangel (Malange) | Malevsera (Malaglace) | Ice | Mischievous, comes out at night and dances. |
| Cheekie (Mimijoue) | Wavwal (Morsou) | Not specified | A Homeland loveseat is based on it: “is that its face or its backside?” |
| Bubbeep (Algobulle) | Glameep (Algoglam) | Grass, Water | Blows bubbles in the sun. Glameep is the zone’s Omega. |
| Popapus (Poulplash) | Gachapus (Gachapoulpe) | Water | Came “from a very distant sea”, and inspired a bubble gachapon. |
Shelly lives on the isles too. None of these five families has an entry in the client’s playable Aniimo table yet: their final stats, skills and evolution conditions are unknown.
Three more family names exist in the texts, with no bestiary render and no Aniimo placed in the world: Saws, Prawnch (with a Jabster form already described) and Vaspaon. Nothing clearly ties them to the isles.
An arrival event: “Island Survey”
The files describe an event to discover the region, with no usable date (the only dates present are past test dates):
- First Visit to Whisperwake Isles: a route through the Reefish, Bubbeep and Popapus gathering spots.
- Island Aniimo Field Notes I, II and III, one per species: first catch, catching an Elite specimen, getting the evolution, and one special task (collect five coral branches, help a Popapus in a colored-ball contest at night, defeat Omega Glameep).
- Shared goals: catch 10, then 30, then 50 Aniimo from these three families, and collect Lumin Amber on the isles. The final reward listed: Aniimo Eggs.
What we don’t know
- Whether the 29 October region is this one. It’s the strongest lead, not a certainty.
- How you get there, at what level, and at what point in the story.
- Stats and skills of the new families, which aren’t in the client.
What this changes for you
- Nothing urgent before 29 October. Part I of the season runs until 28 October: Vein Abundance, the Companion Handbook and the rest of the Season 1 schedule come first.
- Plan some free Aniimo storage. Ten new creatures means ten new Aniilog entries to fill.
- Stock up on Aniipods: most of the arrival event’s goals are catches.
- Names and renders of every hidden creature in the client are gathered in our article on unlisted Aniimo.
Frequently asked questions
Are the Whisperwake Isles coming on 29 October?
That's not confirmed. The game teases a new region for 29 October without naming it. The Whisperwake Isles are the only unreleased zone already built in the client, and the "New Region" card shows a coral Aniimo that looks like Reefish: the link is very likely, but it remains a deduction.
Which Aniimo live on the Whisperwake Isles?
The files place five new families there: Reefish and Coraliz, Malangel and Malevsera, Cheekie and Wavwal, Bubbeep and Glameep, Popapus and Gachapus. Shelly can be found there too.
Should I prepare anything?
Not yet. Access requirements and the region's level aren't in the files. Just keep some Aniimo storage free for the new families.
