Which Prismana Aniimo should you pick? Our top 5 for the free choice

Take Panpanta if you are unsure: it has the highest stat total of the 14 (545 points, #6 on the roster) and a big Break stat that speeds up catching. Witchin for regeneration, Magmarex to get ahead, Glacy for the only healer on the list, Blazen for an Electric breaker.

The “Choose Your Aniimo” screen: 14 Prismana Aniimo to pick from, with Stellarys selected by default

How we ranked them

No stat difference has been announced between a Prismana Form and the normal form of the same species. The pick comes down to three things:

  • Base stats: the same ranking as our tier lists, across the whole roster.
  • Role: a Break Aniimo shatters gauges and makes catching easier; a healer or a regenerator keeps fights going.
  • How hard the species is to get: an Aniimo you can otherwise only get in a high-level region is worth more than one you meet in your first hours.

This ranking is theoretical: it rests on numbers and roles, not on a battle-tested high-level meta.

The top 5

1. Panpanta: the strongest on paper

In the wild: Echoback Landing (Lv. 37–41)

Evolves from Popota

The best total of the 14 and the most complete profile. Its 100 Break makes it a gauge breaker, which is exactly what you want before throwing an Aniipod. Its 106 Magic Defense makes it hard to take down.

In the wild, it only shows up in Echoback Landing, a level 37–41 region, like Popota, which it evolves from: picking it here gets you one long before you could catch it. Its trait, Appeal, only triggers with an opposite-sex Susuta family member on the team, so don’t pick it for that.

2. Witchin: built to last

In the wild: The Mistwoods (Lv. 36–38)

Evolves from Hummin

Second-highest total of the 14, and the best pick if your team runs out of resources mid-fight: its 115 Regen is the best on the list, with 115 HP. Dual Dark and Grass element.

Its trait, Prank, curses enemies every 18 seconds, and its Dark basic attacks restore energy on cursed targets: more of a skill engine than a finisher. It evolves from the very common Hummin, so it makes this list for its role rather than its rarity.

3. Magmarex: the biggest head start

In the wild: Zephyrus Landbridge (Lv. 48–58)

Evolves from Lavazar

Another gauge breaker, with 104 Break (a little more than Panpanta) and 110 HP, in Fire and Rock. Its real selling point is where it lives: in the wild, Magmarex and Lavazar, which it evolves from, are only recorded in Zephyrus Landbridge, a level 48–58 region and one of the most advanced areas of the Breezy Plains.

Panpanta and Magmarex fill the same role: take Magmarex if you prefer Fire and Rock over Water, or if you want the species that takes longest to get otherwise.

4. Glacy: the only healer

In the wild: no recorded region

Evolves from Pranky

The only healer of the 14, with the highest HP on the list (120) and 110 Magic Defense, in Water and Ice. No wild region is recorded for it: you get it by evolving Pranky, found as early as Nimbus Fields, which can also become Leafy. Its healer role is what earns it a spot here.

Its trait, Water Spirit, cuts the EP cost of its skills by 16% on water terrain.

5. Blazen: the Electric breaker

In the wild: Blitzwood (Lv. 41–46)

Evolves from Bolty

A third gauge breaker, with 104 Break and a more balanced Attack (100). It and Bolty, which it evolves from, live in Blitzwood (level 41–46).

Its trait, Power Sustain, rewards critical hits: after 6 skill crits it gains a shield worth 5% of its HP, and its skills cost 12 less EP for 6 seconds.

Other options

  • Pawney: no wild region recorded either; it evolves from Helmut, only found in Russet Highlands (level 46–51). Its trait, Pursuit, adds 30% damage against controlled or broken targets, making it a good DPS to pair with a breaker if you want a hard-to-get species.
  • Turbo: a decent support (518 points), but you will meet it as early as Nimbus Fields (level 6–16). Pick it for the look, not for rarity.
  • Stellarys: selected by default when the screen opens, and gorgeous in Prismana Form. Its 505 points put it near the bottom of the list: a pick for love rather than numbers.
