Prismatic Energy, Nurture and weather: how to spawn Prismana Aniimo
Catch enough species in an area to earn its Bronze badge: that unlocks Nurture at the area’s Bloom. Every Nurture run raises the area’s Prismatic Energy, and once it’s full a Prismana Aniimo is guaranteed to spawn. Meanwhile, feed the Branch with Lumin Amber: at Prismana Radiance you can change the weather and trigger a Prismana Flow yourself.

Prismana Aniimo aren’t just down to luck. The game has a real loop behind them: Collection Badges, Nurturing Blooms, Prismatic Energy, Branch levels and weather changes. Here’s how the pieces fit together, based on the help center, the tutorials and the rules shown in game.

1. An area’s Collection Badges
Every area has its own Collection Progress: how much of the area’s Aniimo families you’ve caught. You can check it on the map with the Aniimo Distribution button. Each tier unlocks a feature:

For Silver and Gold, the help texts mention catching different Aniimo, defeating Alphas and collecting Lumin Amber, without giving a threshold. Dr. Lewis adds that regional Collection Badges also raise your catch success rate in that region.
2. Nurture, step by step
Nurture is one of the main ways to catch rare Aniimo: it draws in large groups of Aniimo at once.
- Open Nurture. Once you have the Bronze badge, a button takes you straight to the Branch feature.
- Pick the area. Only areas where you hold the Bronze badge are available.
- Place offerings if you like. Each offering draws in specific kinds of Aniimo during the Wild Surge.
- Activate Nurture. The area’s Bloom reaches the budding stage. Select the activated Bloom to track it on the map.
- Touch the Bloom to open it. It attracts a large group of Aniimo: that’s the Wild Surge.
- Catch those Aniimo. With each catch, the Bloom absorbs Prismatic Energy and the Veinfruit at its center grows.
- Pick the Veinfruit once the gathering ends. You get rewards, and the stored Prismatic Energy is released into the area.

Nurture runs are capped each day. The help texts don’t give the base cap, but level 3 of the Breezy Plains Branch raises it by 10.
3. Prismatic Energy
Most regions of Idyll can build up Prismatic Energy. Two things raise it:
- Nurture, at the end of each run (when the Veinfruit’s energy is released);
- Lucky Strikes: whenever you catch an Aniimo in Idyll, there’s a chance to trigger one, which adds Prismatic Energy to the region.
What Prismatic Energy does:
- The higher it gets, the more likely higher-tier Aniimo are to appear.
- Every increase has a chance to push the region’s state straight to Full. A brilliant Prismana Flow then appears in the area, and the spot where the Prismana Aniimo spawns is marked with special colors.
- Full gauge = guaranteed Prismana. Once an area’s Prismatic Energy is full, a Prismana Aniimo appears after a Wild Surge.
- Each area has its own Prismana. The Prismana Aniimo drawn out differ from area to area.
Nurturing in a friend’s world
Joining a Wild Surge in a friend’s world also raises the Prismatic Energy of your own world: a little, moderately or significantly, depending on your Affinity level. You can also visit other Pathfinders’ worlds to enjoy their Prismana Flow.
4. The Branch and its levels
The Branch grows by absorbing Lumin Amber, amber formed from dispersed Vein energy. Feeding the Branch enough amber improves the area’s ecology: catch chances go up, and the rare Prismana Flow eventually unlocks.
Where to find Lumin Amber:
- across the open world, where it’s scattered (the map shows the locations);
- by defeating an Alpha or an Omega for the first time;
- by clearing a Sanctum for the first time;
- from some Blessed Aniimo, which drop it while you catch them.

The Whisperwake Isles Branch
The Whisperwake Isles Branch follows the same pattern, with a few differences:
- Level 3: its effect says you can use Nurture to trigger a Wild Surge in Whisperwake Isles (instead of a higher daily cap).
- Level 6: Prismana Radiance and weather changes, just like Breezy Plains.
- Level 9: a “wondrous” Aniimo egg, with no schedule mentioned.
- Level 12: an “even rarer” Aniimo egg instead of hidden caves.
- Levels 10, 11, 13 and 14: Max Stamina +10% instead of lower Stamina consumption.
- Level 15: moving around Whisperwake Isles out of combat no longer costs Stamina.
5. Changing the weather and triggering a Prismana Flow
At the Prismana Radiance stage, the Branch unlocks its Change Weather function. The help text is straightforward: it lets you directly attract and spawn Prismana Form Aniimo.
The Prismana Flow rules:
- A Prismana Flow forms when abundant Vein energy overflows from the Branch into the sky. It attracts rare Aniimo that can harness Prismana energy.
- 1 Prismana Crystal absorbed by the Branch = 1 Prismana Flow, triggered directly.
- Up to 3 uses per day, with a 1-minute cooldown between each.
- Without a crystal, the game shows “Insufficient Prismana Crystals. Cannot change the weather.”
On the badge side, an area’s Silver badge also unlocks Ecosystem Intervention, which uses Vein energy to change that area’s weather. The help texts don’t spell out how the two requirements combine, so aim for both.
6. Finding more Aniimo: night and weather
Not every species is out at every hour. Dr. Lewis’s quizzes spell it out:
- Many Aniimo only appear at night.
- Many only come out when it’s raining or sunny, and some only when it rains or snows.
- Each region has its own ecosystem.
To skip to nighttime, open the Function Menu, then Day and Night, and press the button that advances time to night. Otherwise, wait for the weather to change or head to another region.
On the interactive map, the time filter (day or night) shows the matching spawn points. Each species’ spawn locations are also on its page in the Aniidex.
Other sources of Prismana Aniimo
According to Dr. Lewis’s quiz, three things can bring out Prismana Form Aniimo:
- catching lots of Aniimo during a Wild Surge;
- leveling up a Branch to trigger a Prismana Flow;
- hatching a Prismana Egg, which has a chance to give the Prismana Form directly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock Nurture?
You need the area’s Bronze Collection Badge. You earn it by catching different Aniimo in that area until its collection progress reaches 40%.
Is a Prismana Aniimo guaranteed once Prismatic Energy is full?
Yes. The Nurture tutorial states that once the Prismatic Energy gauge is full, a Prismana Aniimo is guaranteed to spawn.
What does a Prismana Crystal do?
When the Branch absorbs 1 Prismana Crystal, it directly triggers 1 Prismana Flow. You can use them up to 3 times per day, with a 1-minute cooldown between uses.
At what Branch level can I change the weather?
At the Prismana Radiance stage, which is level 6 of the Breezy Plains Branch. Changing the weather also uses Prismana Crystals.
Does special weather trigger a Wild Surge?
No. According to Dr. Lewis, special weather brings out Aniimo in their special forms, not large gatherings. Wild Surges come from Nurture.
