Nurturing: the mistakes that cost you days
The number of Nurtures per day is capped: one free, plus ten by spending Primegy. Each one counts, so every wasted Wild Surge is a lost day. The costliest mistake: killing the Aniimo you attracted instead of catching them, because catching is what grows the Veinlit Fruit.

Nurturing is the core loop for getting a Prismana Aniimo, and it is also where most effort gets wasted. The game caps how many Nurtures you get per day, so every botched Wild Surge is a lost day.
Here are the most common mistakes, and what the game actually says about them.
Mistake 1: killing the Aniimo instead of catching them
By far the costliest, and the most common among players coming from combat.
When the Bloom opens, it draws in a large group of Aniimo — the Wild Surge. The rule, as the game describes it: with every catch, the Bloom absorbs prismatic energy and the Veinlit Fruit at its centre grows. You then pick the fruit at the end, and the stored energy is released into the zone.
In other words: catching feeds the gauge, not killing. A Wild Surge where you killed everything cost you a Nurture charge for nothing.
Mistake 2: assuming the quota is unlimited
The game spells it out:
Every Pathfinder will be given 1 chance to perform Nurture for free and 10 chances to perform Nurture by costing Primegy. The free Nurture allows 3 energy infusions.
And when you are out, it says so too: “You’ve reached today’s Nurture limit.”
Two consequences:
- The free Nurture is the best value: it opens three energy infusions, not one.
- Nurturing every day, even once, beats Nurturing ten times on a single day. The quota does not carry over.
Level 3 of the Breezy Plains Branch raises that daily limit by 10. It is one of the first milestones to aim for if you hunt seriously — the full fifteen-level table is in prismatic energy, Nurturing and weather.
Mistake 3: Nurturing with no offering
Offerings are not a cosmetic bonus: they decide what shows up.
| Offering | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Elemental fragment | Attracts Aniimo of a given type — “Nurture at a Bloom to attract Fire-type Aniimo” |
| Sparkling Essence | Increases the chance of Sparkling Aniimo appearing |
| Prismana Sigil | Increases the chance of attracting special hidden Prismana |
| Veinlit Fruit | Attracts more high-tier Aniimo |
If you are hunting a specific species for your Aniilog, Nurturing without an offering means rolling dice on a charge you only get once a day.
Mistake 4: hunting the Prismana at the Bloom
When a zone’s prismatic energy hits its maximum, a Prismana Aniimo is guaranteed to appear after a Surge. But it does not necessarily appear where you are standing.
The game marks the spot two ways: special colours in the zone’s sky, and a marker on the map. The habit to build: when the Surge ends, open the map instead of circling the flower.
And remember that each zone has its own assigned Prismana: the species is announced before it appears. If you are after a specific one, choose the zone, not luck.
Mistake 5: ignoring Lucky Strikes
There is one source of prismatic energy that does not eat your quota: the Lucky Strike. When you catch an Aniimo anywhere in Idyll, you have a chance to trigger one, which adds prismatic energy to the region.
So catching while exploring is never wasted time, even away from a Bloom. It is the only way to raise the gauge outside your eleven daily charges.
The routine that wastes nothing
- Check your collection badge. Without the zone’s Bronze badge, Nurturing is not available.
- Place an offering matched to what you are after.
- Use the free charge first: three infusions.
- Catch everything, kill nothing.
- Pick the Veinlit Fruit at the end: that is what releases the energy into the zone.
- Open the map to find the Prismana; do not look for it at the flower.
- Keep catching while exploring for Lucky Strikes.
Once the Prismana is caught, the next question is items: when to use a Sparkling Cube, a Sigil or a Pigment. That is in which item for which goal.
Frequently asked questions
How many Nurtures per day?
The game states it: "Every Pathfinder will be given 1 chance to perform Nurture for free and 10 chances to perform Nurture by costing Primegy. The free Nurture allows 3 energy infusions."
Should I catch the Aniimo in a Wild Surge or can I kill them?
Catch them. With every catch, the Bloom absorbs prismatic energy and the Veinlit Fruit grows. Killing them advances nothing.
Where does the Prismana appear once the gauge is full?
Not necessarily at the Bloom. The game marks the spot on the map and with special colours in the zone's sky.
Do offerings change anything?
They steer what appears. An elemental fragment attracts Aniimo of its type, the Prismana Sigil raises the chance of attracting hidden Prismana, the Veinlit Fruit attracts higher-tier Aniimo.
Can I gain prismatic energy without Nurturing?
Yes. A Lucky Strike on a catch, anywhere in Idyll, adds prismatic energy to the region. It is the only source that does not eat into your daily quota.
