Dr. Lewis quiz: every answer for the title promotion assessments
During title promotions, Dr. Lewis gives you a timed three-question quiz. Most of the time the right answer is “All of the Above” or “Defeating Alpha Aniimo”. Here is every question with the answer confirmed by his replies in the game files.

How the quiz works
Each title promotion in the Growth Story ends with a quiz objective. Dr. Lewis waits for you at the Outpost and asks three questions against a time limit.
- Right answer: he confirms it and adds a line of explanation.
- Wrong answer: he explains why and asks you to look at the other options. Many questions accept “All of the Above”: if he says “that’s not the only answer”, that’s your hint.
- Time’s up: the assessment stops and he asks you to manage your time better on the next attempt.
The game holds eight sets of three questions. Several sets echo the names of promotion quests (Dewdrop Crystal, Legacy, Stardust, Core), but the files don’t say which set goes with which quest, so we list them in the game’s order. For how promotions work, see level, titles and Elite Training.
Set 1: progressing and discovering
| Question | Correct answer |
|---|---|
| How can I quickly raise my character level? | All of the Above (catch new Aniimo, complete story quests, complete required Elite Training Core Courses) |
| How can you discover more Aniimo? | All of the Above (switch to nighttime, wait for the weather to change, go to a different region) |
| Polaris Institute came from Astra to explore Idyll. What is our mission? | All of the Above |
Dr. Lewis points out that there are several ways to level fast, and that many Aniimo only appear at night, on rainy or sunny days, or in their own region.
For the mission question, the game does accept “All of the Above”, but the replies attached to its options talk about recovering energy: a mix-up in the files that doesn’t change the answer.
Set 2: Dewdrop Crystals, badges and BREAK
| Question | Correct answer |
|---|---|
| How can you obtain Dewdrop Crystals used to raise an Aniimo’s Resonance Star Rank? | Defeating Alpha Aniimo. |
| What are the benefits of obtaining an Area Collection Badge by catching Aniimo? | All of the Above |
| What are the benefits of triggering BREAK on enemy Aniimo in battle? | All of the Above |
- Dewdrop Crystals don’t come from catching or from Homeland crafting: defeating Alphas is the main source.
- Regional Collection Badges raise the area’s catch rate, unlock Nurture and reveal more Aniimo spawn locations.
- After a BREAK the enemy can’t act, takes much more damage, and Quick Catch becomes available. Details in our combat basics.
Set 3: Held Items, Sparkling and healing
| Question | Correct answer |
|---|---|
| How can you obtain Held Items that strengthen Aniimo abilities? | Defeat the Alpha Aniimo |
| Which is the fastest way to obtain Sparkling Aniimo? | Throw a Sparkling Cube at any Aniimo |
| Which of the following Aniimo has a healing skill that can restore HP? | Glacy |
- Held Items are relics of ancient Idyllian wisdom: Astra’s technology can’t produce them, and catching Aniimo doesn’t yield them.
- Running into a Sparkling Aniimo in the wild is the most common way, not the fastest: the Sparkling Cube, one of the rarest Aniipods, can turn any Aniimo Sparkling.
- Irisal looks soothing but has no healing; Glacy is known for its healing.
Set 4: Star Dust, Wild Surge and Besauce
| Question | Correct answer |
|---|---|
| Where can I obtain Star Dust to awaken an Aniimo’s Capability and boost its attributes? | Defeating Alpha Aniimo |
| Wild Surge can make large numbers of Aniimo appear at the same time. Which of the following will not trigger it? | Wait for special weather |
| How can you obtain the Aniimo Besauce? | Pathfinder Challenge |
- Neither Homeland crafting nor catching gives Star Dust.
- In special weather, only Aniimo in special forms appear, not big gatherings. Nurturing through the Branch is the most direct way to cause a Wild Surge (see Prismatic Energy and weather).
- Besauce can’t be caught in the wild: challenge the Pathfinders you meet out in the world for a chance to earn it. Defeating Aniimo only yields resources.
Set 5: Cores, Prismana and the Holo-Battle Sim
| Question | Correct answer |
|---|---|
| How can you obtain Cores that enhance an Aniimo’s Held Item stats? | Defeat Alpha Aniimo |
| Which of the following can make Prismana Form Aniimo appear in the world? | All of the Above (hatch a Prismana Egg, upgrade a Branch to trigger a Prismana Flow, catch lots of Aniimo during a Wild Surge) |
| Which of the following can help you clear higher-difficulty Holo-Battle Sim? | All of the Above (lower-difficulty route, more effective training buffs, proper Elemental Counters) |
Dr. Lewis sums it up: build your party carefully, use the mechanics and pick the right route, and even the hardest Sim won’t stop you.
Set 6: Somniwing, personality and Pacts
| Question | Correct answer |
|---|---|
| Somniwing increases the EP cap by 10. Which Aniimo pairs best with it? | Scorchhowl |
| Which of the following can change an Aniimo’s personality? | Buy a Psyche Fruit from the shop and use it on an Aniimo. |
| What does wearing a Pact Held Item do? | Enhances the core skills of the corresponding Contract Aniimo |
- Scorchhowl has to build up charge in battle before unleashing burst damage, hence the value of a higher EP cap. If you hesitate, Dr. Lewis rules out Stellarys first.
- Neither levelling up nor evolving changes personality: you need a Psyche Fruit.
- A Pact Held Item boosts the core skills of its Aniimo. It doesn’t level it, evolve it — or make it chubbier.
Sets 7 and 8: Irisalis and Prismana Sherro
These two sets repeat the personality question (answer: Psyche Fruit) and add two questions the game files don’t settle.
| Question | Options | Answer |
|---|---|---|
| Which of the following cannot give you Irisalis? | Nurture the ecosystem · Join Operation: Egg Heist · Join the Stamp Rush event | Not confirmed |
| How can you obtain Prismana Form Sherro? | Reach 197 Aniimo Collection Progress · Evolve · Exchange with a friend | Not confirmed |

Frequently asked questions
What happens if I get a Dr. Lewis quiz question wrong?
Dr. Lewis explains why that option doesn’t fit and asks you to think again. If time runs out, he tells you to prepare for your next attempt: the assessment can be retried.
Is the answer always “All of the Above”?
Often, but not always. Dewdrop Crystals, Star Dust, Cores and Held Items come from defeating Alphas, and some questions have a specific answer (Sparkling Cube, Glacy, Psyche Fruit…).
Why do two questions have no answer here?
For “Irisalis” and “Prismana Form Sherro”, the replies Dr. Lewis gives for each option don’t match the question in the game files. We don’t publish guessed answers.
