Sparkling Cube, Sigil, Pigment, Capafruit: which item for which goal

No, a Sparkling Cube is not the only way to make an Aniimo Sparkling: the Sparkling Sigil does it afterwards, and you get it by reporting a Sparkling Aniimo at the outpost. No, you cannot pick a Prismana's hue: the Sparkling Pigment rerolls it at random. And a Capafruit can only be eaten once per Aniimo.

“Do I put my Sparkling Cube on this egg?”, “can I make it Sparkling later?”, “how do I change the colour?”: these come up constantly, and most of them are answered in plain text on the items themselves.

Here is what each one does, word for word.

The decision table

1. Sparkling is not decided only at capture

This is the costliest misunderstanding. Many players hoard a Sparkling Cube for “the right moment”, believing it is the only route. It is not.

The Sparkling Sigil says exactly this: “Use to transform an Aniimo into a Sparkling Aniimo.” And its source is the best part: you get it by reporting a Sparkling Aniimo at the outpost. In other words, every Sparkling you run into and document brings you closer to making another one.

It can also be exchanged for Sparkling Pigments at the Outpost Vendor.

2. A Prismana’s hue cannot be chosen

In chat, people collect and compare hues: “Prismana Fulmintis type 7”, “Pawney type 4”. The question always follows: can you aim for a specific one?

No. The Sparkling Pigment is explicit: “Can only be used on Sparkling Prismana Aniimo. Randomly changes their Sparkling Hues.”

Two things to take from that:

  • It only works on a Sparkling Prismana. Not on an ordinary Sparkling, not on a non-Sparkling Prismana.
  • It is a reroll, not a choice. You can try again; you cannot select.

To understand what those types are, and why only Prismana forms have twelve of them, see Prismana, Sparkling, Umbrabow, Alpha, Perfect. Every Aniimo page now lists, under each of its forms, the variants that exist.

3. The Capafruit: one per Aniimo

“My Sparkling is Elite, can a Capafruit push it to Perfect?” Here is what the item says: “Use on an Aniimo to grant +1 Innate Potential to each of its six attributes. Each Aniimo can consume only one Capafruit.”

So yes, it is a real gain, applied across all six attributes at once. But it is a single shot per creature: it is not a lever you pull until you cross a tier. Save it for an Aniimo you genuinely intend to keep.

It comes from several places: Elite Training, Glimmer purchase, the Stamp Rush Shop, item exchange, and the advanced edition of the Companion Handbook.

4. Changing form, and what the orb refuses

The Morph Orb changes an Aniimo “into any other form except the Prismana Form”. With one condition: “Requires that you have previously obtained that form for this type of Aniimo”.

That answers a frequent question: some forms cannot be reached by evolving, such as a weather form. You can apply them to a specimen you already own, provided you have encountered the form at least once. It is bought with Glimmer.

The Prismana form has its own item: the Prismana Orb, which toggles an Aniimo that has unlocked that form in the Breezy Plains, keeping its innate potentials, traits and personality.

5. Offerings, which act before the catch

Three items are not used on an Aniimo but on a Bloom, during Nurturing:

  • Sparkling Essence — increases the chance of Sparkling Aniimo appearing.
  • Prismana Sigil — increases the chance of attracting special hidden Prismana. You get it by reporting a Prismana Form Aniimo at the outpost.
  • Veinlit Fruit — nourishes the ecosystem and attracts more high-tier Aniimo.

That is often the best use of your time: preparing the spawn costs less than fixing it afterwards. The full loop is in prismatic energy, Nurturing and weather, and the mistakes to avoid during a Wild Surge are in Nurturing: the mistakes that cost you days.

Frequently asked questions

Can you make an Aniimo Sparkling after catching it?

Yes, with a Sparkling Sigil: "Use to transform an Aniimo into a Sparkling Aniimo." You get it by reporting a Sparkling Aniimo at the outpost.

Can you choose a Sparkling Prismana's colour?

No. The Sparkling Pigment only works on a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo, and it changes its hues at random. There is no selection.

Does a Capafruit turn an Elite into a Perfect?

It grants +1 Innate Potential to each of the six attributes, and each Aniimo can only consume one. It is a single nudge, not a button you press until you cross a tier.

Should I burn a Sparkling Cube on a guaranteed-Perfect egg?

Its effect states that, on an already-Perfect Aniimo, it raises the chance that innate potential for the recommended attributes exceeds 8. So it is not wasted, but it is a finishing touch, not a change of category.

How do I change an Aniimo's form?

With a Morph Orb, which grants any form except the Prismana form — provided you have already obtained that form for that species.
