1. Fly Free!

Ever since the legendary Windgliders left the Argent Strait, the Bell of Freedom, a flower on Crescendo Cliff, has stayed silent. One day, a music score blows off the ground and slaps into the face of a foul-mouthed Chirpi, so foul-mouthed that BINI #9 switches on its auto-censor. The furious bird calms down when it recognizes the tune: it’s a Windgliders song. It decides to reform the band so everyone can feel the untamed spirit of “Freedom’s Breeze”, and puts you in charge of recruiting singers.

You win over two Cornets, a soprano duo that competes for the highest note while hiding from the other gulls, and a gossip-loving Tromber perched on a pillar, watching a Nimbi couple. The first rehearsal is chaos: the Chirpi improvises, the Cornets try to outdo each other, the Tromber gets distracted. To them, a score called “Freedom” is meant to be sung freely. But nobody can sing bass.

The Tromber suggests a Tubster, a hermit with a very deep voice who can’t fly. The Chirpi refuses, then gives in. The Tubster, for its part, has no idea what the song is about. You take it flying to show it what freedom feels like: it lands on a bouncy pad, hates the whole experience, but still agrees to help. For the Tubster, freedom will mean singing whatever feels right. At the final rehearsal, the Chirpi apologizes to it and everyone sings their own way.

As they sing, the Bell of Freedom blooms and a flock of gulls arrives from far away: the real Windgliders, who left to find a way to finish the “Freedom” Score beyond the sea. They realize they have come back home. They decide to stay and play in the Argent Strait: each of them has their own idea of freedom, but they all end up in the same place. All that’s left is to pick up what Perfumer Zephyro left on the cliff: a bottle of perfume, whose letter the wind blows away.

Step by step

  1. Chat with the Grumpy Chirpi on the Argent Strait shore.
  2. Find a Cornet willing to join the band: two Cornets are hiding to argue out of sight.
  3. Find a Tromber willing to join the band: it’s watching a Nimbi couple from a stone pillar.
  4. At Crescendo Cliff, practice the song with the gulls: you choose who sings each line and how. Then chat with them.
  5. Find or own a gull that can handle the bass: you need a Tubster.
  6. Twine with the Tubster or release it from its Aniipod, and bring it into the band.
  7. Show the Tubster what freedom feels like, then join it for Windgliders practice, again Twined with it or with it by your side.
  8. Sing with the Windgliders, then go see who those gulls from far away are.
  9. Look for what Perfumer Zephyro left behind: the objective completes once you have the legendary perfume Freedom’s Breeze.

On the side: the rumor “The Bell of Freedom” introduces Zephyro, who sings in front of the flower with his Flutternym partner, with no luck. According to the Flutternym, singing makes the Bell bloom, and its bloom calls the great wind that lets you cross the sea. The rumor completes once you’ve sung with the Windgliders.

Section rewards: 1,000 Safaris, New “Freedom” Score, Record: “Freedom” Score, 30 Glimmer, 15,000 Credits, 30 Sparkling Crystals, 3 Gust Stones.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get the Freedom's Breeze perfume in Aniimo?

Finish “Fly Free!” in the Argent Strait. The last objective asks you to find what Perfumer Zephyro left behind on Crescendo Cliff: that's the bottle of Freedom's Breeze. The perfume is then used to color the Colorless Dream: Crescendo in the Fragrant Dream chapter.

Do you need a Tubster for this quest?

Yes: the objective asks you to find or own one, then to Twine with it or release it from its Aniipod so it can join the band.

Who are the Windgliders?

A legendary gull band from the Argent Strait. According to the description of the score you receive as a reward, they wrote half of the “Freedom” Score with Lyris, a Bloomville perfumer, then flew across the sea looking for a way to finish it.
