1. Warrior (Russet Highlands)
The painter Sorora, who has lost his memory, stares at an old painting that has become unrecognizable. He senses it is called “Warrior”, and a half-erased inscription on the back mentions a blade raised against the Infergon. If he restores it, he may recover some memories.
Near the ruins, a crying Helmut says the Helmwhelps nearly carried it off, then runs away in the wrong direction, toward the red earth. You find it trembling on the mountain path, but determined: it wants to pull out the Sword of Bravery, left at the summit by the legendary Pawney, gain its strength and defeat the Infergon so nobody gets bullied again. Higher up, you find it exhausted and without its helmet. It left you a clue, an eye-shaped mark: the storm hides something only a Helmut can see.
At the summit there is no Infergon, only the blade. Its will puts you to the test: the little Helmut was brave, but too weak to draw it. Being a warrior, it says, means moving forward despite fear and finding courage inside cowardice. You pull it out, face the Infergon and bring the Pawney legend back to life; a flame flower grows on the spot.
Back with Sorora, the inscription makes sense: it is a “coward” who raises the blade. The painting becomes clear again, and Sorora recovers a memory: he once came to study the ruins of Hatos, the legendary craftsman, and met a Helmut that cried all the time. That Helmut, with a broken helmet and a rusty iron sword, eventually defeated the dragon and became a Pawney, because it thought it unfair that Helmwhelps preyed on Helmuts. Anyone can grow strong enough to fell a dragon, Sorora concludes; but a coward who dares raise their blade is a warrior.
Step by step
- Talk to the painter Sorora, then look for clues in the Russet Highlands to restore the painting.
- Follow the crying coming from the ruins and talk to the Helmut, then find it again on the mountain path.
- Climb toward the summit to learn more about the Pawney legend, check on the Helmut and examine the marks on the ground.
- Head into the storm. Twine with a Helmut to shatter the Dragonclaw Stone.
- Pull out the Sword of Bravery. Per the game, you need a Helmut companion you have Twined with, and an understanding of what a warrior is. This step gives a Rusty Iron Sword.
- Defeat the Infergon to revive the Pawney legend. Evolution requirements are on its page, under evolution.
- A Flame Flower has grown at the summit. Then head back to Sorora.
Section rewards: 1,000 Safaris, 30 Glimmer, 22,500 Credits, 30 Sparkling Crystals, 1 Ferocious Fang, 1 Sword of Bravery.
2. Helmut’s Island Adventure
Since an earthquake, part of the Russet Highlands has become an island. A scar-faced Helgon travels back and forth and captures Helmuts. It grabs you too, while you are Twined with a Helmut, and plays the tough guy. What it really wants is for you to pose as a Helmut friend and join its child, a Jawling, on the treasure hunt it prepared.
The Jawling proudly shows off a line it just learned in Helmspeak: to it, helmets are “the best toys in the world”. In a cave, you find a mural and an ancient inscription about the eternal friendship between Helmuts and Jawlings. The little one has always dreamed of it: a campfire, its father, a Rookey and the great Infergon. You explain what a friend is. When its father presents the gift he had prepared, it answers that the most precious treasure is its Helmut friend, and that it wants to go adventuring with it. The scar-faced Helgon reluctantly agrees: it will look after their home until the child returns.
Step by step
- Get to the scar-faced Helgon’s island (clue “Dragon Legends I”: get its “help” while Twined with a Helmut).
- Pose as the Jawling’s friend, Twined with a Helmut.
- Search for the treasure with it. You get the Archival Chip - Helgon Cave Mural.
- Chat with the amazing Jawling, then talk with the scar-faced Helgon.
Rewards displayed for the section: 1,000 Safaris, 30 Glimmer, 15,000 Credits, 30 Sparkling Crystals and 1 Aniipod Ultra. The game data does not mark them as fixed.
3. Island Adventure: Nightfall Tales
At night, around a bonfire and a ring of stone seats, the scar-faced Helgon and a quiet Rookey welcome the new Pawney. The Helgon tells the real legend. Jawlings and Helmuts used to live together on the red earth, until the land lost its color for ten long years. Irelia the Guardian gave the mountains their red back, but the rest of the land stayed pale: to survive, the two families went to war.
Then the red mountains began to boil. A Helmwhelp climbed to the summit and swallowed the flame flower growing in the blaze: the danger subsided, but it became the Infergon, eaten away by an ever fiercer fire. The Pawney faced it at the summit. Every time the Infergon disappeared, a new one was reborn by morning, and the Pawney set out again, sword in hand. One day, only its sword was found — it became the Infergon’s treasure, and it has been waiting for the next Pawney ever since.
Step by step
- After Helmut’s Island Adventure, come back to the island at night, toward the stone seats (clue “Dragon Legends II”).
- Join the Helgon and Rookey gathering. The game starts the Chance Encounter “Night Talk: Fire is the King”, estimated at 5 minutes.
Section rewards: 600 Safaris, 1 Archival Chip - Mural of Infergon’s Birth, 30 Glimmer, 7,500 Credits, 50 Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystals.
4. A Fragrant Journey: Russet Highlands
Near Bloomville’s perfume workshop, two perfumer sisters look exactly alike without having anything in common. Grace has just blown up her last flame flower root and is desperately looking for that Russet Highlands treasure.
You bring her a root and tell her how you beat the Infergon. Grace shares a family legend: long ago, the Infergon came at night near Bloomville to claim her ancestors’ honey cakes, leaving a flame flower in exchange. That is how the perfume Eternal Red was born. Inspired, she blends Burst of Red, half of the recipe. Her sister Cress receives the Burst of Red and the flame flower, and remembers their apprenticeship under their mentor Fira: one used the root, fierce and unstable, the other the flower, with no scent at all. Fira mixed the two to obtain the real Eternal Red, one of the perfumes used in Fragrant Dream.
Step by step
- In Bloomville, talk to Grace (clue “Eternal Red”).
- Find the treasure of the Russet Highlands, the Flame Flower. You need to have finished Warrior: the root and the flower grow at the summit.
- Give the flame flower root to Grace. She hands you the Burst of Red.
- Give the flame flower and the Burst of Red to Cress, then chat with her.
Section rewards: 600 Safaris, 1 Eternal Red, 30 Glimmer, 7,500 Credits, 50 Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystals.

Frequently asked questions
How do you pull out the Sword of Bravery?
According to the game, you need a Helmut companion, you must have Twined with it, and you must understand what being a warrior means. Push through the storm, shatter the Dragonclaw Stone while Twined with a Helmut, then answer the sword's trial with courage at the summit.
How does this tie into the main story?
In the Rainbow of the Ground chapter, the objective “Search for the incense of courage” asks you to complete the Warrior quest in the Russet Highlands. The Flameheart Stone sits at the summit, near the Infergon.
Do you need a Pawney for the scar-faced Helgon's island?
The “Dragon Legends” clues I and II recommend it: “Recommended: a Pawney”. During the Nightfall Tales gathering, you take the legendary Pawney's seat.
