Tideblossom Coast Notes: Aniimo story and walkthrough
A one-section Journey chapter on the Tideblossom Coast. By day, Leah is looking for a lighthouse; by night, a Bulbly stares out to sea from the cliff's edge. To talk to it you first need Bulbly Electrolinguistics, then a story of the sea to bring back.

1. Is That a… Lighthouse?
The Tideblossom Coast has no earth-shaking legend: it is a former harbor turned reef and mudflat, a place to catch your breath. By day, Leah paces it. She calls it the “Land of Legend”: at night, golden shooting stars streak across the sky over the coast and Bloomville, and people call them a blessing from Aeolus. Leah refuses to spoil what they really are. Mostly, she came because her adventurer friend, the sailor Hayes, told her about “the brightest lighthouse in the world” here. He never came back.
At night, a Bulbly sits at the cliff’s edge, watching the sea. When you come near, it tries to talk to you, but its voice drowns in electrical static. BINI #9 confirms it: without electrolinguistics, communication stays garbled. Once you know the language, the Bulbly tells you what wears it out: the Alpha keeps telling the same old stories, day and night. It also mentions huge fish that spit smoke far out at sea — ships — and strange Veilfloats that used to bring stories with them. Nobody comes from outside anymore. And it keeps repeating a signal it doesn’t understand: ━ ..|.|━ .| ━ ━ .|━|.━.
You explore the coast looking for seafaring adventure lore and pick up the six pages of “Treasures of the Sea and Where to Find Them”, which BINI puts back together. Then you tell the Bulbly Hayes’s story: an adventurer caught in thick fog, saved by the light of a jellyfish near the cliff, which he came to call his “lighthouse” and hugged after every voyage. But he may never return. This time the Bulbly’s currents don’t jump — they slow down. It finally understands what the signal meant: “lighthouse”. A light in the dark, a word for waiting and hope. As it understands, it evolves into a Veilfloat.
One choice is left: say goodbye and let it shine there, waiting for you, or invite it along to look for new stories.
Step by step
- During the day, talk to Leah, the girl searching the coast (clue “A Lighthouse?”).
- If the day/night switch isn’t unlocked yet, push on with the main story.
- At night, approach the Bulbly sitting at the cliff’s edge: its voice is pure static.
- Find a way to decipher the language of the electric current. Sayn’s research notes lost on the Tideblossom Coast contain Bulbly Electrolinguistics: they are the subject of the rumor “The Tideblossom Coast Research Notes”.
- Talk to the Bulbly by the cliff now that you can understand it.
- Explore the coast and search for seafaring adventure lore: collect the six pages of “Treasures of the Sea and Where to Find Them”. BINI tells you when the book is complete.
- Tell the Bulbly a story about the sea: Hayes’s story.
- Choose: say goodbye and let it wait for you, or take it along.
Section rewards: 1,000 Safaris, 30 Glimmer, 22,500 Credits, 50 Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystals, 3 Sprout Stones and 1 Veil Heart.
Characters you meet
- Leah: a girl from Bloomville looking for the lighthouse her friend Hayes told her about. She knows the legend of the Golden Shooting Star but keeps its true nature to herself.
- The Bulbly on the cliff: a Bulbly tired of the Alpha’s old stories and hungry for tales from the surface. It becomes a Veilfloat when it understands the word “lighthouse”.
- Hayes: a sailor and adventurer once saved by a Bulbly’s light. He never returned.
- Sayn: a Polaris Institute Aniimo researcher, author of the notes on Bulbly Electrolinguistics.
What’s next?
The other coast has its own legend: The Legend of Echoback Landing. The Tideblossom Coast is also the setting of main story chapter 5, Rainbow of the Ground, and of the Fragrant Dream. To track down Leah, the Bulbly and the book pages, open the interactive map of Idyll.

Frequently asked questions
How do you talk to the Bulbly on the cliff in Aniimo?
Its voice is nothing but static until you know Bulbly Electrolinguistics. You learn it from researcher Sayn's lost research notes, scattered around the Tideblossom Coast: that's the rumor “The Tideblossom Coast Research Notes”.
What is the Golden Shooting Star?
Leah explains that golden shooting stars cross the sky over the Tideblossom Coast and Bloomville at night, and that people see them as a blessing from Aeolus. When you return his notes, researcher Sayn instead talks about an Alpha Luminelle that likes to roam the sky.
Should you take the Veilfloat with you or leave it on the cliff?
Both answers exist. You can say goodbye and let it wait for you as your lighthouse, or invite it along to look for new stories. The game texts give no different reward either way.
